Each year, across Australia, the CBCA brings children and books together for one week to celebrate Australian children’s literature. This year’s Book Week will take place in Week 7: August 22 – 26 and the theme is ‘Dreaming with my Eyes Open’. To celebrate Book Week, we will combine our Book Character Parade and Grandparents Day on Friday 26 August. Students and staff are invited come to school dressed as a character from a book! Parents, Grandparents and friends of the school community are invited to join in the fun commencing at 9.10am. Our Grandparents will then be invited to stay and spend time in the classrooms with their Grandchildren. At 10.30 our grandparents are invited to join us in the staffroom for morning tea.
